Affiliation to the AGCUK and NVS

JALGA Trust is the official and affiliated regional office of the AGCUK for Jersey and forms part of a nationwide network of representative offices of the Council and also affiliate members of the National Vegetable Society (NVS)

About the AGCUK
The Allotment & Gardens Council (UK) was set up to represent allotment holders and societies in all areas of the British Isles including the Channel Islands and Eire to provide help and advice on all allotment matters and wherever possible, to safeguard allotment sites by legal means and, make available to members any benefits which the AGCUK could negotiate and obtain, which currently include:

Insurance Scheme
We offer a very comprehensive insurance with Aviva through our brokers Russell Scanlan (see Insurance) 

Seed Schemes
The full range of Dobies seeds, available at discount on retail price regardless of order value (no minimum order to qualify) We also have a unique discount scheme with Johnsons and Mr. Fothergill’s seeds, again with no minimum order value to qualify.

Potato/Onion Schemes
Codnor Horticultural Supplies Limited. offer special discount on a full range of potatoes from Jamesons of Scotland supplied in 3kg nets if required. Also special prices on Shallots and Onion sets. Some carriage may be incurred for delivery to Jersey.

Legal Help and Assistance
When required, will be conducted in Jersey by Le Gallais & Luce.

Through the network of AGCUK regional offices a wide range of horticultural advice is avalaible for members.

About National Vegetable Society
JALGA are also members of the National Vegetable Society offering several benefits to plotholders including expert advice of vegetable growing and a monthly magazine by subscription. The Society promotes the growing of vegetables in general and for the show bench.
