Plotholder Benefits

As a JALGA Trust member, plotholders or a plotholder association will automatically become affiliated to the Allotment and Gardens Council UK and thereby qualify for the following:

Insurance: All affiliate members will be be covered by a specially arranged insurance policy providing personal indemity, member to member idemnity and accidents on site.

Discounted Seed Scheme: Access to an exclusive scheme under which seeds may be purchased at special discounted rates(half price) from Dobies, one of the UK’s largest wholesale seed merchants. Half price discount arrangements have also been secured with Johnsons and Mr Fothergill’s Seeds.

Allotment equipment: Plotholder membership cards now can be used for discount arrangements with Pentagon and Le Maistre Bros.

Advice helpline: Access to a wide range of experts for advice ranging from horticultural matters to legal issues.

Newsletter: A quarterly publication providing hints and tips, advises of new initiatives and as a forum for views and experiences on allotment growing.

FREE email account: Jalga Trust will provide all new members with their own personalised webmail account on application: name@jalga.org.je.

Local concessions: JALGA Trust is in the process of negotiating special concessions with several local retailers and providers on a wide range of gardening and garden related products – particulary garden sheds.
