Jersey Allotments and Leisure Gardening Association (JALGA) , hereinafter referred to as 'the Association', is committed to protecting your privacy, and takes its responsibilities regarding the security of member information and member confidentiality very seriously. This policy explains how the Association use members' information and how we protect your privacy in the event that you contact us or submit any information by way of a transaction or registration with us via this website.

Security to protect your information
In accordance with our legal obligations under the Jersey Data Protection Laws, we observe strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given to us, which also includes the prevention of unauthorized access to areas of our website where certain information may be collected or stored.

Information required to process a registration or purchase
We require certain information to allow us to process a transaction or register with us. This includes your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and also your credit or debit card number and other cardholder details when you use the Associations payment service. The Association does not directly collect or store card details for online transactions which will be on a secure page protected by 256bit SSL Encryption Certificate issued by COMODO. This page both encrypts and passes your personal data to the credit or debit card company that issued it, for authorization and collection to the Association account.

The Association does not use cookies on this website, except those used for collecting statistical data, and establishing a user 'session'. Session cookies are necessary to collate your transaction or registration and are automatically deleted once you leave the site.

Site tracking
In order to help us develop the design and layout of the site to better meet the needs of our customers we use tracking software to monitor users traffic patterns and site usage. This software does not enable us to capture any personally identifying information.

Disclosure to third parties
The Association does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We never disclose information about a member to any other person or organisation without the members prior consent, save in the case of fraud or other criminal activity, or in order to enforce the legal rights of the Association. For the avoidance of doubt, the Association reserves the right to pass your information on to third parties in the interests of protecting you and/or ourselves against the potential fraudulent use of a credit card, or other fraudulent act, or if acting on your behalf in pursuance of a complaint with one of our partners or affiliates.
